A warm welcome from the Wye Valley!
Air Cadets at Ross-on-Wye enjoy flying, gliding, camping, and taking part in all kinds of action, adventure and sports. At the same time we have a great social life.
Our members come from all around Ross, Monmouth and the Forest of Dean. Anyone aged 13 to 18 is welcome. We meet twice a week at our HQ in Alton Lane, Ross - Mondays and Fridays, 19.00 to 21.30.
Take a look at our website to find out more about activities and events. Highlights of the year so far include the Snowdonia Dragonbash at Easter - walking, canoeing and climbing, and the VanFest and BugFest weekends. Certain cadets have found out how to do aerobatics in a Grob Tutor before they have learned to drive. And the awards at each year's Squadron Dinner reflect real achievements - if you take control of your life you can also have the time of your life!
The Air Cadet Organisation has almost 49,000 members in more than 1,000 Squadrons. In fact it's the world's largest youth air training organization.
It owns the largest fleet of gliders in the world and is also the biggest operator of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
The Air Cadet Organisation has something for everyone, whatever their ability – as long as you can show commitment. This isn’t just another youth club! Teamwork and social skills learned with us will be of value throughout your life – and you’re sure to make some good friends.
